Based on the Norfolk Broads and operating throughout the UK, we provide a personal service from the point of enquiry through to the successful delivery of our customer’s boats.
Our modern specialised equipment means that we can ensure that the boats we transport are loaded onto air suspension trailers that are specifically designed to cradle and support vessels up to 45 feet in length and up to 17t in weight.
Once loaded, there is no stress imposed on the hull as our trailers fully support the boat and with a low centre of gravity and air suspension, movement of the load is eradicated, which ensures that your GRP or wooden vessel is not placed under any duress during transit. We pride ourselves on treating every boat, regardless of value, with the care and respect that we would do if though they were our own.
With our contacts throughout the UK we are also able to assist with arranging the logistics involved in moving a boat by road. We take care of the notifications to the Police and highways agency when moving large boats that fall under the “abnormal load” category in order to comply fully with the legislation that must be adhered to, such as escort vehicles and specific routes.
We liase with boatyards and marinas to ensure that the lifting equipment is suitable for your boat and to ensure the suitability of access. We arrange a mutually agreeable time between the yard/marina to collect and deliver the boat, with the emphasis being that it is when our customer wants.
With our close working relationship with renowned boat builder Kingsley Farrington, we can facilitate access to their services which range from traditional repairs, restoration and refits of GRP and wooden craft, to power washing, hull preparation and anti-fouling. So, if you are moving a boat to or from the Norfolk Broads, Kingsley Farrington is ideally located to take care of any work you may require. His details will be on our contact page.
